Message Any time you slip the clutch, regardless what type of clutch you've got, you'll be causing more wear than under normal use. The difference between slipping a typical street clutch (whose surface is usually organic material) vs. slipping a six-puck or multi-disc clutch (whose surface is usually soft metal) is that the organic material will offer a smoother engagement since it'll give a bit more. That means it'll also be easier to slip, and easier to wear out. The heavy duty colutches with metalic surfaces are more grabby, so tougher to slip.i
